By using Flare, you agree to the practices outlined in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with these practices, please refrain from using the app.
1. Information We Collect & Local Processing
Flare operates with a strict privacy-first approach. All camera data and photos are processed locally on your device’s GPU and saved directly to your local storage. We have zero access to your photos. The app operates without requiring any user accounts or registration.
We only request the following permissions from your device to provide core functionality:
- Camera Permission: This is required to access your device’s camera so that you can capture
- Storage Permission: This is required to save processed photos to your device’s primary camera directory
- Storage Permission: This is required to save processed photos to your device’s primary camera directory.
2. How We Use Your Data
As Flare does not collect or store any personal media remotely, there is no use of your personal information beyond what is necessary for the app’s immediate functionality on your device. The camera and storage permissions are strictly used to allow you to capture and save photos locally.
3. Data Retention
Flare does not retain any media data. Your photos are stored only on your device in accordance with your device’s settings. You have complete control over how long this data remains on your device and can delete or modify your files at any time.
4. Data Security
Since Flare does not transmit your personal media, there are no remote security risks related to your photos. However, it is recommended that you secure your device with a passcode, fingerprint, or other security methods to protect your locally stored photos from unauthorized access.
5. Third-Party Services (Data Processors)
Flare does not share, sell, or transmit user data to third parties for marketing. We use select, trusted third-party services solely to ensure app stability and manage premium features:
- Firebase (Google Analytics & Crashlytics): Used to monitor anonymous crash reports and usage behavior (in-app events) to help us improve the app. Note: Users in the EU are provided with a clear choice to opt-in or opt-out of this analytics tracking.
- RevenueCat & Google Play Billing: Used for the secure processing of “FlareCamera Pro” subscriptions and purchases. We do not directly collect, process, or store your payment information.
6. Your Rights & Right to Delete
Because Flare does not collect or process personal media, you do not need to take any steps to request media deletion from us—your photos are entirely in your control on your device. Regarding your subscription, you have the right to manage, modify, or delete (cancel) your active subscriptions at any time securely via your Google Play Store account settings.
